How do you manage your time as a student and as a Student Ambassador?

Replies ranged from practical tips for managing one’s time to an observation as to the flexibility of the Student Ambassador program.

“When I wake up in the morning I just grab my planner, write down the tasks that I have to do. I commit to fulfilling it and I do it.”

“I define milestones and goals for myself to keep me motivated – both in the short-term and long-term.”

Gino Messmer, 3rd year student at Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg Karlsruhe (Cooperative State University Karlsruhe), Germany

“I manage my time by planning my week from the beginning. On Sundays, I check the Student Ambassador calendar and note in my Pocket Notebook the events, meetings, and other activities during the week. If I finish a new course or acquire new information that I want to share, I prepare myself to host an event. I also try to  connect every day to Microsoft Teams {editor's note: this is the main communication vehicle for the Student Ambassadors and the program team] to be up-to-date. I sacrifice a lot of my rest/free time in order to succeed as an Engineering Student and as a Student Ambassador, but you should never think of the Student Ambassador program as a waste of time because it provides you with resources and workshops to enhance both your soft and technical skills. There is no fixed time to devote for the program, but the more you invest in the program, the more advantages you will have.”

Hadil Ben Amor, 1st year Engineering student at the Higher School Of Communication of Tunis-SUP’COM

“It has never been difficult for me to manage my academics and student Ambassadorship, as Microsoft provides huge flexibility to the Student Ambassadors.”

Swati Rajwal, Master of Technology student at Netaji Subhas University of Technology

Rohit Yadav, 3rd year student at IMS UC Campus, Ghaziabad India summed up the Microsoft Learn Student Ambassador community best in giving this advice to the new Student Ambassadors: “Consider this as your place for learning, recreation, engagement, and inspiring other people.”
