New Filtering in Project for the web

As your projects grow, it becomes more important to be able to quickly find whichever task you need right now. You now have more granular control of task filtering in Project for the web. Tasks in Grid, Board, and Timeline view can now be filtered by:

  • Keyword
  • Finish date (new)
  • Progress
  • Bucket (new)
  • Assigned to (new)

To filter your tasks, simply press the Filters button on the top right within a project in any view, and select filters you'd like to apply in the Filter Tasks pane:

You can use a combination of filters across filter groups to narrow down your tasks. For example, if you select the Late filter from the Finish Date filter group, and Not Started and In Progress from the Progress filter group, only tasks that haven’t started or are in progress, and are late will be shown.

FAQ

Do filters persist when I refresh the page?

No. Filters are reset every time you refresh the session. However, if you leave the filtered project and go to Project Home, and come back to the filtered project, your filters will persist.

Are there any limits to how many filters I can choose?

No. You can select as many filters as you want from any filter groups, including the keyword filters.

Are there any license restrictions on who can user filters?

No. All Project for the web users, including Office users with read-only access, can use filters.

Sometimes we start with a scenario before jumping into the actual feature.  [MS1]

Maybe add a sentence: "As your projects grow, it becomes more important to be able to quickly find whichever task you need right now."
