Rocky Linux 8: This minimal Rocky Linux 8 image offered by ProComputers, a Tier 4 sponsor of the Rocky Linux project, is mainly used as a common base system for building and testing. It contains just enough packages to run within Microsoft Azure, bring up an SSH Server, and allow users to log in. Azure Linux Agent, cloud-init, and Rocky Linux 8 security updates are included.

Rocky Linux 8 LVM: This is a minimal Rocky Linux 8 image with a 30-GiB OS disk managed with Logical Volume Manager (LVM). The root logical volume, as well as the corresponding filesystem, is automatically extended during boot if the instance volume is bigger than the default one. The OS disk is partitioned using GPT (GUID Partition Table), which allows the use of OS disks bigger than 2 TiB in size.

CentOS Stream: This minimal CentOS Stream image contains just enough packages to run within Azure, bring up an SSH Server, and allow users to log in. Azure Linux Agent, cloud-init, and security updates are included. CentOS Stream is an upstream development platform for CentOS community members, RedHat partners, and other groups to see what’s coming in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and to help shape the product.
