Azure Database for MySQL - Flexible Server is a new deployment option announced as generally available during Ignite 2021. The Flexible Server architecture provides predictable performance, multiple high availability options and zone resiliency. The service is designed with clear goals of providing more granular control and flexibility over database management functions and configuration settings. Flexible Servers also provide better cost optimization controls with the ability to stop/start your server, burstable skus, and Reserved Instances ideal for production workloads for cost savings up to 63%.
